The verdiblanco president was firm in confirming that the club will apply its Disciplinary Code to the footballer. “I haven’t been able to speak, I know there has been some communication via WhatsApp, but I don’t like the situation at all from the standpoint of the Congo Federation nor from the player,” he stated, before emphasizing that teams cooperate with federations, but “there has to be more seriousness.”

Bakambu landed in Seville last night, four days later than expected. The president also explained that the disciplinary punishment will not negatively affect the team and recalled that “just as there are rights, there are obligations,” stressing: “Going beyond the FIFA date does not please me at all.” Bakambu is living his final months as a Betis player since his contract ends on June 30 and he will not renew. But this situation, without a doubt, could jeopardize his participation with the team in the remainder of the League and Europa League.
