Nicolas Raskin, a Belgian midfielder for the Rangers has caught the attention of Villarreal and Real Betis, two clubs that have already held talks with the Scottish side to explore a possible transfer this summer.

Ibrox have no intention of making his exit easy and have priced the player at 20 million pounds, a figure that previously also stalled Hull City. In addition, the Manchester United are also keeping tabs on his progress and have him on their list of potential midfield reinforcements.

Raskin arrives boosted after signing a strong 2026 World Cup campaign with Belgium, where he was one of the tournament's revelations. At 25 years old, he already has 19 international caps and two goals for the senior national team, establishing himself as one of Belgium's midfielders with the most potential.

The Belgian joined the Rangers in January 2023 from the Standard de Liege for around 1.5 million euros. Since then, he has made a major leap in performance and is under contract until May 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at 12 million euros.

Betis' interest is not new, as they followed the player closely back in the summer of 2025, although at the time they ruled out the deal after considering the Rangers' asking price too high.

In the 2025/26 season, Raskin played 53 official matches, scoring 5 goals and 11 assists, becoming an indispensable part of the Scottish side in both the league and European competitions.

His profile fits that of the modern midfielder who stands out for his ability to win back possession, the intensity of his pressing, his aggression in duels and a strong physical presence. He also adds a good build-up play, a criterion for starting the game from the back, and the ability to break lines with carries or vertical passes. Although his natural position is central midfield, he can also operate as an inside player thanks to his movement and dynamism, qualities that help explain the interest he has sparked among several European clubs.
