OFFICIAL: Levante adds talent to the midfield

The Levante continues to shape its squad for the new campaign and has already completed the signing of Dani Requena. The Granada midfielder will play this season for the Valencian club on loan from Villarreal, in an operation that includes a purchase option close to one million euros at the end of the campaign.

The player traveled this Friday to Ciutat de València to sign all the paperwork and become officially the team's third signing under the direction of Luís Castro. Once the agreement was completed, he will join next Monday's training sessions, taking advantage of the group's return after the weekend break.

The talks between the two clubs intensified over the last few days ended with an understanding that satisfies all parties. The Levante was looking for a midfielder with room to grow and Villarreal saw it positively that Requena would get minutes in LaLiga.

At 21 years old, Requena stands out for his technical quality, his game vision and his ability to find passes between the lines. He can play both as a playmaking holding midfielder, and as an inside player, offering composure on the ball and a good capacity to combine in building play. He also stands out for his mobility, tactical intelligence and arrival from the second line.

During the 2025/26 season, the man from Granada played 35 official matches between Villarreal B and the first team, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists. His progress convinced the Levante, which hopes he will take a step forward with continuity at the top level.

With the arrival of Requena, the Valencian club continues to strengthen a midfield that had already added Enzo Bardeli and also expects to close the signing of Hugo Sotelo in the coming days. The sporting department considers that area of the pitch a priority to face the new season with greater guarantees.
