By far, this is the biggest-caliber rosco. An absolutely standout player and one of the most important names on the fantasy scene was left without playing against Real Sociedad. That said, here the reason was not a technical decision: the Argentine suffered a muscle overload in the last training session and, in the end, he did not even make the matchday squad. A particularly painful setback because the problem appeared practically at the last minute.

It is probably the most surprising rosco due to a technical decision. A good part of the sports press had him straight in the starting XI against Rayo, but Mourinho ultimately opted for Konaté and Rüdiger as the center-back pairing and Huijsen spent the full 90 minutes on the bench. Starfelt was coming off being one of Celta's best players against Getafe, also scoring the equalizer, so it seemed he had clearly strengthened his case to stay in the starting XI. However, Claudio Giráldez (once again) prepared a major rotation due to the schedule of three matches in just six days and left the Swede on the bench against Málaga. The most unexpected part was that he did not even get minutes as a substitute.

All the media had us putting him in the starting XI based on the physical problems of Carlos Romero, but the recovery has been miraculous: it came in time for him to be included in Íñigo Pérez's plans and he finished without playing a single minute.
