Levante - Betis

Match date: 29/08-17:00

Levante U. D.

The Ciutat de València makes its debut in the 2026-2027 league season and does so on August 29 at 5pm!!! Don't forget to grab your coat and scarf because it will be cold.
Levante will also make its home debut in the league after earning a good draw in the always difficult Sadar and improving a lot on the poor image shown on matchday one.
With all registration issues resolved, Luis Castro will finally have the entire squad at his disposal and we may see some new debut during the match.
For the starting XI, we don't expect many changes, with the doubt of Hugo Sotelo, who sooner or later should come into the XI and the full-back , in whom Nacho Pérez is increasingly earning more responsibility
On the other hand, the uncertainty continues over the figure of a Carlos Álvarez who at this point seems more out than in at the club, even though no official offers have been made public yet, so he is not expected to be part of the starting XI, with doubts even about his call-up.

Real Betis Balompié

Real Betis arrive at matchday three with their spirits sky-high after winning their first two games, against Real Sociedad and Valencia. Pellegrini's side have started the campaign with a perfect record and now face another away trip to Levante, in a very demanding schedule that has forced the coach to manage minutes. Pellegrini himself opted to rotate the defensive line at Mestalla and everything points to him making changes again.

Betis do not have the full squad available, with Abde and Lo Celso still out with injury. However, Isco is already available and played minutes at Mestalla, so he could be one of the changes in the XI, although Pellegrini has already said he is not ready to start from the off. The main area where rotations are expected is again the defence, although we will also need to keep an eye on midfield after the effort made against Valencia.

Pellegrini has a strong depth of options and could distribute minutes across several positions. Fran García, Bellerín, Bartra or Natan are some of the alternatives to freshen up the defence, while in midfield the competition continues between Marc Roca, Deossa and Facundo Bernal, although we could also include Álvaro Fidalgo, who seems not to feature much in the plans of the Chilean coach. Up front, there will be no rotations unless something unexpected happens.
