Oso on the verge of leaving Sevilla!

The future of Oso points to France in the final stretch of the transfer window. The Sevilla academy product, under contract until June 2027, is close to leaving Nervión if he gives the green light to the deal.

The player's contractual situation had turned his case into a delicate matter for the club. Oso had a first-team squad number and shirt after his strong previous season, but his agreement was still tied to conditions typical of a reserve-team player and, without a renewal, he could negotiate with other clubs starting in January.

Ten million and a sell-on percentage

Strasbourg has increased its offer after an initial proposal that did not convince the Sevilla. The initial bid, according to Orgullo de Nervión, was six million fixed plus two in add-ons, a figure rejected by the Nervión club.

The agreement between the clubs has finally been set at 10 million euros, with Sevilla also reserving 10% of a future sell-on. The information was broken by El Chiringuito, while the French club belongs to the same business group as Chelsea, a factor that appears to be a possible draw for the player due to the option of making a subsequent step to the London side, as Emegha or Valentín Barco have done this summer.

During this same window, Sevilla had already held talks with the Olympiacos for Oso, although those negotiations did not move forward. The Greek club is now back in the picture for Sevilla due to the transfer of Rubén Vargas.

On the sporting front, Oso has had an immediate impact at the start of the league campaign. He was important in the first two matchdays and, in the win in Bilbao, he scored the opening goal of the match and took part in the other two goals for Luis García Plaza's side. If the exit is completed, José Ignacio Navarro will have to go into the market to find a replacement for the 23-year-old.
