A strange matchday. And, more importantly, everything points to an even stranger season that could lead to a somewhat worse situation. Butarque will be the home of the franjirrojos once again. 

On the sporting side, Beñat has several and important absences: Batalla, Kumbulla, Vertrouwd, Luiz Felipe, Isi… And the signings do not generate as much excitement as in other years. Facing them is the Racing, which, by contrast, seems to have made a great transfer window.

Of the new arrivals, Pedrosa and Bouaré will be starters, although it is not ruled out that Sadick could also start and that Pathé Ciss returns to the midfield.

The team arrives at this matchday with boosted morale after their win against Elche, an important victory that allows the green-and-white side to take on this new commitment with confidence and with the desire to keep adding points on their return to LaLiga Santander.

Changes in the starting XI are expected compared to the last matchday. Andrés Martín's injury means a major absence for the team, to which we must add the departure of Gustavo Puerta on the final day of the transfer window.
