Getafe CF

Getafe continue shaping their squad and have announced the signing of Jean Ives Valou. The Ivorian defender will play this season for the blue-and-ones as a loan player from Villarreal B, where he has completed his training stage.

At 20 years old, Valou faces the biggest challenge of his career with the aim of earning a place in the defence of the Madrid club. The club believes in the potential of the centre-back, who arrives with room to grow and the chance to keep building experience in professional football.

Standing at 1.88 metres, the Ivorian stands out for his physical strength and his confidence in aerial duels. In addition, he is a defender who offers solidity in one-on-one contests and presence inside the box, qualities that have convinced Getafe to bet on his arrival.

The player was developed in the Villarreal academy, where he grew until reaching the yellow team's reserve side. Now he changes scenery to begin a new stage in which he will look to make the most of his minutes and show that he is ready to take on greater responsibilities.

With this move, the Getafe add a new piece to their defensive line and back a young profile with future potential, strengthening a squad that continues to take shape ahead of the start of the season.
