A new season arrives at the Paseo de Cervantes, with the squad practically closed and the hopes intact. Mendizorroza welcomes a Getafe that has recently struggled quite a bit in Vitoria, with two straight away wins in the previous two seasons. In an atypical opening matchday (due to the number of postponed games), starting by scoring looks essential to kick off the season on the right foot.

Quique's main doubt will be Boyé, who is injured after facing Racing de Santander in the Trofeo Nando Yosu. But it's the first match and we will know the starting XI at least an hour in advance before locking our fantasy team. The other doubts for the hosts would be at left-back and in one of the inside midfielders/attacking midfielders, with Yusi and Aleñá having a slight edge over Abde and Denis. The rest of the XI will be very similar to last season's, since the babazorros have added players to increase the squad rather than to improve the starting XI.

Getafe CF

A new season in the top flight for a Getafe that arrives at Mendizorroza with the squad not yet finalized and with a few doubts regarding the registrations.

The summer transfer market has been positive despite the important departures. That said, the serious injury to Uche has clouded everything a bit. 

The XI Bordalás could field at this start of the league may not end up being the most usual one over the course of the season. There are doubts in defense, with Boselli, Valou and Sazonov all having options. In the midfield, Mangala could make his debut as a blue-and-black. On the right flank, it seems clear that there will be a double full-back approach.
