Real Sociedad has set its sights on Mustafa Hekimoğlu, one of the young promises of the Besiktas. The Turkish striker, 19 years old, is on the radar of the Donostia club, according to media in his country, which even point to a possible offer for the attacker.

Hekimoğlu belongs to Besiktas until 2028 and has already gained experience with the first team despite his young age. In the 2025/26 season, he featured in 17 matches in the Süper Lig, although he was only a starter in three. He added up 385 minutes and one goal.

Hekimoğlu is a center forward standing 1.86 meters, right-footed, with the ability to play as an offensive reference. He does not stand out only for his physique because he has room to attack spaces, withstand contact and take part in short combinations close to the area.

He needs to build consistency and improve his offensive production numbers. Last season he scored one league goal, although he had already posted better figures in 2024/25, when he netted two goals and provided one assist in 20 appearances.

Hekimoğlu has had to compete for minutes against more experienced forwards. In Besiktas 2025/26, for example, Tammy Abraham finished as the club's top scorer in the Süper Lig, while Hekimoğlu had a much more secondary role.

A forward for the future

The main virtue of Hekimoğlu is precisely his age. His progress at the Besiktas has been gradual: he debuted with the first team while still very young and already has 43 league matches, although only ten as a starter, according to Opta records.

He also has international presence with Turkey's youth teams. The forward is among the group of young players that Turkish football considers to have the potential to make the leap to the senior national team in the coming years.

His physical ability could fit in a competition like LaLiga, but he would need an adaptation process and, above all, minutes to prove that he can turn his conditions into offensive output.

La Real would not be following a forward who has already broken out, but rather a attacker with room to grow and an interesting physical profile. The big question is to know when that step will come.
