Betis pushes to complete the Deossa deal with a final economic condition

The scenario has changed in recent days. The main obstacle, linked to the entry of Marcos Lamacchia into the structure of the Brazilian club and the guarantees needed to back the payment, would already have been set in motion. With that part now clearer, in Heliópolis they review the paperwork and keep open a negotiation that had been well advanced for weeks.

The agreed formula would not be a direct loan for use, but a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the next season. The total figure for the deal could reach 12.6 million euros including add-ons, an amount that would allow Betis to improve on what they invested in the Colombian last summer.

The payment for the loan, the detail that is still missing

The nuance that is still slowing the agreement is the initial loan. Betis wants the loan to have an immediate cost and not be limited only to a future purchase obligation. From Rio de Janeiro they indicate that the amount being negotiated would be between 500,000 euros and one million euros.

This request is now the last major loose end before sealing the operation. The parties have given themselves about a week to close the deal or rule out the Vasco da Gama route, although the atmosphere surrounding the talks remains optimistic after more than a month of conversations.

At Betis they do not show concern about the delay. They see it as a normal part of a negotiation of this kind and have alternatives in case the move does not end up happening. River Plate is still waiting on the situation, while West Ham and Panathinaikos have also shown interest in the midfielder.

Deossa, meanwhile, is working normally with the rest of the squad during pre-season. The plan is for him not to travel to the Marbella training camp, scheduled for next Monday, if the exit is resolved before then; if it does not happen, he will continue under the orders of Manuel Pellegrini while his future is defined outside Betis.
